Promotion Certificates – All 8th grade students who met the requirements for the Promotion Certificate will receive them this morning beginning 2nd period. Students will be escorted to the cafeteria by their 2nd period teacher. Once students receive their certificates, they will give their permission slips to John and then leave campus. Once John receives your permission slip you are not allowed to return to campus. Those students who do not have a permission slip will need to return to their class and follow their normal schedule.

 

Class of 2017 – On behalf of the entire Dutcher Staff we would like to congratulate the Dutcher Middle School class of 2017 on all of their accomplishments and wish them continued success in High School and beyond!

 

Lost & Found items – Take a moment to look through the lost & found cart sometime this week.  All remaining items will be donated at the end of the school year.

 

Library Books– All library books should be returned. Check the list in the library window to make sure your account is clear. If you name is on the list, you must speak with the librarian before the school day is over.  

 

Garden Club Tomato Plant Sale – Just a few tomato plants left! $2 for one container, or $5 for three containers! While supplies last.  Stop by the garden during lunch.

 

Washington DC/New York City 2018 – Attention students! Early bird registration for the students going on the Washington DC/New York City 2018 trip is fast approaching! Make sure you have your parents register you for the trip by phone email or mail-in registration. Please see Mrs. Rogers or John in student services if you have any questions.

 

PURCHASE YOUR 2017 YEARBOOK NOW!  You can still purchase your yearbook in the office NOW for $65.00 – cash or check to Dutcher. Check to see if you or your parent have already purchased a yearbook this year, on the list in the library window. Don’t be left out of this school year’s memories!

Lost & Found items – Take a moment to look through the lost & found cart sometime this week.  All remaining items will be donated at the end of the school year.

 

Attention Travel Club members - If you're participating in the Applebee's Fundraiser breakfast and weren't able to pick up your tickets last night please see Mrs. Rogers in Student Services today!

 

Library – All library books and textbooks must be returned, and library fines paid by today. If you fail to do so, you will not receive your yearbook. The library will be closed this week except for book returns

 

Promotion Practice – All 8th grade students will report the gym at 9 am this morning. Those students not participating in the ceremony will also report to the gym. At the conclusion of practice students will receive their 4 tickets. All 8th grade students, regardless of promotion status, will be released at 11 a.m. Those students who are participating in the Promotion Ceremony will need to report to the Pitman High School Gym no later than 3:15 pm.

 

Garden Club Annual Tomato Plant Sale - Students and teachers, enjoy fresh tomatoes right from your home! All this week during lunch at the garden, Garden Club will be selling baby tomato plants while supplies last. Six different heirloom and artisan varieties to choose from, all organic.  Cherokee Purple, Green Zebra, and Indigo Rose to name a few.  $2 each container (most containers include two plants), or two containers for $5. See you at the garden. 

 

Yearbook Raffle – The Immersion Club will be giving away three yearbooks to one lucky 6th, 7th, and 8th grade immersion student. If you have not purchased a yearbook and would like to enter your name in the drawing come by Room 36 before school, lunch, and after school. Drawing will be held today after school. Winners will be announced Thursday morning.

Washington DC/NYC 2018 trip meeting – There is an important meeting today in Room 21 @ lunch for student going on the Washington DC/NYC 2018 trip. We will announce our club officers and give you other IMPORTANT information. Please don’t miss it!

Parent/Student DC/NYC trip meeting – IMPORTANT!  Are you interested in going to Washington DC & New York City next summer with your friends but missed the last parent meeting? If so, there’s still time to sign up!  There will be a parent/student meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) night for any students still interested in attending the Washington DC/NYC 2018 trip. The meeting will take place in the Dutcher Cafeteria @ 6:00 p.m. Also, students already going on the trip who want to participate in the next fundraiser should also attend the meeting to pick-up their fundraiser tickets. Remember to bring your parent with you!  This is one fundraiser you won’t want to miss. The top ticket seller will earn $100 towards their trip! The second highest ticket seller will earn $75 towards their trip! See Mrs. Rogers or John in Student Services if you need more information.

 

Current Student Government – We have practice today in Mrs. Fetter’s room at the beginning of lunch.  See you there.

 

 

Attention all 7th graders – Come by room 27 and check out the posters of your current students running for student government.  Voting will take place tomorrow at lunch in Mrs. Fetter’s room.

The names are arranged alphabetically by last name. Please become familiar with your row and seat number so you know where to sit at next Wednesday’s practice. At this time this list is tentative. If any student becomes ineligible before the ceremony their name will be removed from the list.
